Finally…

I sent my first email to the editor on 24 September 2003 at 7.30pm and included my Epiphanies piece as an attachment. From then on I wrote on at least a monthly basis without receiving any acknowledgement. At some point I began calling the office and was routinely put through to an answerphone and the messages I left weren’t responded to. Sometime around May this year the new editor Chris Bohn responded and said he liked the piece, but that the slot was allocated to people who were already somewhat known in the magazine and that I should do a cd review tryout first and contact the reviews editor. From May until this Wednesday I wrote and called and spoke to the editor and each week I didn’t receive anything. After the latest call I wrote another email but before sending I asked Brett to check it over knowing that I was feeling really frustrated. He helped to make it sound less arsey and the above image depicts the final result of just over a year of petitioning… I’ve never heard of the cd the package contained, but fingers crossed…
