Saturday, Cornwall

Catching the last ever train northwards, the carriages disintegrating gradually, a microcosm of the society I am travelling through. Dragging myself awake each time, dreams repeating. Awoken finally into darkness by Amy’s knock at the door. 7am. The world around me unknown.

Watching the marvellous Castle In The Sky (Japanese anime, amazon reviews here), when the robot dies Gabriel cries like a baby reminding me again how little he is.

The warmth inside the house and the huge glass doors onto the patio. Sometimes the sea disappears. Rain, driving, unceasing rain. But snug in here.

Down to the musty old village hall to help prepare for the evening. Home for cheese on toast and getting dressed and on to a pub/restaurant for Mike’s meal then return to the hall for dancing and champagne. An enjoyable evening, 11pm bedtime for Ames and Gabes, Ames tired relatively early in the evening so after some fun dancing together then had to sit out with her snuggled into me. I’d have liked to dance more, but it felt necessary (and a pleasure) after our falling out the day before. I took them home while Is stayed on to dance.
