The Metamorphosis

I’m rereading Kafka’s The Metamorphosis for the first time in years. For some reason, as I read I find the voice in my head enunciating each word in the same lugubrious, matter-of-fact Welsh accent as John Cale’s as he narrates The Gift on The Velvet Underground’s second album, White Light/White Heat. Can’t stop myself.
