Jackie-O Motherfucker

Off to Barden’s Boudoir to see Jackie-O with Dan last night. My first time at Barden’s though I’d come across mention of their Kozmische night before and saw the listing on the BBC experimental page. Barden’s turned out to be the basement of a large, derelict furniture store in the no man’s land between Stoke Newington and Dalston: awful acoustics, squat feel, but something a little different from the norm I guess, with alcoves running along the length of one wall each decorated with a different theme. I wrote a review of two of Jackie-O’s albums for Absorb a year or two ago. Enjoyable gig preceded by rather run of the mill support. (Brief) review to follow.
