Coverflow - new, gorgeous iTunes interface
Came across reference to Coverflow via Creative Bits. For non-Mac/Tiger people, someone’s made a video here. This is much more the sort of interface - though it’s certainly got a long way to go - that I was thinking about when I wrote Interfacing with music in the digital age. The interaction in this application is the real pleasure. Addenda: a ruffled comment to the original Creative Bits post leads to an interesting 3d demo interface video from Sun here; there’s even a Flickr pool already, though it’s only eight posts old…
