Bruno - you can give it up, I know you can. Just think how much calmer and more in control you're going to feel if you're not checking Last.FM every five minutes. I'd advise trying initially to limit your views to hourly on the hour, then cut down to once a day and if you like you can stop there. Alternatively, you can see how long you can last. I haven't looked now for five (5!) whole days and I feel so much better for it. My breath doesn't smell, I don't feel so bad when I wake up... er, no sorry I'm confusing addictions, let's start again... Since cutting down on Last.FM I've felt less twitchy, I've got more time and I'm more in control - it's great! Try it and I think you'll like it.

Ah, I find it a lot harder to cut down on Last.fm that I did giving up the fags. I have my page loaded all day long at work and I keep on checking it... It's like I was trying to find out what I'd listened to but couldn't actually remember... Still, I know when it's not working, or when they're doing the much-talked about upgrade or whatever.

I have a bit of a 'whatever' approach to it though, does that count?

I based it on my memory of giving up eight and a half years ago (smoked my last the night my daughter was born - deeeep drags). Difference is that I couldn't afford even one more fag as I'd be back to 20 a day in no time. I envy social smokers. Best of luck with the giving up - I hope you make it.

Damn, that's an almost perfect description of my present situation with cigarettes. Uncanny.
