As to Noto's MySpace design, I was a little crestfallen when I realised that it wasn't quite as minimal as I'd thought - I had forgotten that I have a fair number of Firefox extensions enabled (AdBlock, Flashblock, etc) that turn off ads. When I looked at his page with Safari there was a dirty great and entirely inappropriate banner ad across the top which spoilt the whole effect...
