While the letter spacing & kerning is not quite perfect (and frankly, it should be perfect considering that the cover is only text), the over all feel is warm yet removed (a theme played out in the album's music). As for their second album, I completely agree with you. Poor typography, insignificant decoration that is pleasant, but not much more. It feels like a pretty ill-conceived idea that some one loved.
