I love it, but I think I still prefer Strjon! There's something darker, more beautiful and more consistent about it for me.

Very strangely, this album found its way to me, sent by a contact I hadn't spoken to for years, and to an address I haven't been at for at least two years. Still, a little Royal Mail miracle it seems, the album eventually landed on my doormat, and I agree that it is definitely one of the stand out albums of the year. I think it is possibly also Arve's best solo record to date.

Funnily enough, I think I prefer his speaking voice. Just to be clear, I liked his track on Venice, but I thought it capsized the album as a whole as it was the only vocal contribution and a powerful one at that.

Happy to receive suggestions for Hard Format, though please bear in mind we can't promise acceptance.

Yes, I agree (after several more plays) it is one of the best albums of the year. As for Sylvian's contribution... It may be his manner of speech that I don't like. Still not too keen on it.
On the other hand; I thought his contribution to the 'Venice' album was/is rather good; 'Transit' remains a favourite with me.
By the way; your Hard Format pages are fantastic. Would you accept some contributions to it from me?

One of the better? I'd say one of the best of the year... I thought Syvlian's contribution was much better judged than to the Fennesz/Venice album.

The Henriksen album is one of the better new releases this month. For anyone who likes his Supersilent of previous solo albums, it's a must have!

Not too keen on the David Sylvian spoken word bit though.

Hello there, nice to hear from you. Yes, it's an absolute joy, well - maybe that sounds a little ironic due to its sense of darkness! I've listened to it 11 times in the past week, am not remotely tired of it yet and sense depths yet to come.

I wasn't aware there was a new Henriksen album due out. I'll have to track it down.
