Funny how my eye was drawn to the Italo Calvino volumes beside them – haven’t come across many others who’ve read his work.
You’re right though, Ballard’s loss is a sad one.
Really Simon? I thought they were widely recognised classics – my favourite is definitely Invisible Cities. Have you read The Dictionary of the Khazars? It’s an amazing piece of work, highly recommended if you’re a fan of Calvino or Borges.
I’ve been writing this blog for quite a lot longer than three years and now I’m finally getting round to writing something in the About page. But what to write? Oh well, if you check the category listings you’ll see what I cover. It’s a ragtag assortment of bits and bobs, anything that catches my fancy really. Unsurprisingly, much of that is music.
